MBook Time is a platform for booking appointments with beauty and personal care professionals and businesses. We don't provide those services: each professional or business does.
You must be 18 or older to use MBook Time.
If you pay a deposit and cancel or don't show up, the deposit isn't refunded. If the professional or business cancels, you get everything back.
The PRO membership and the Sponsored plan renew automatically every month until you cancel, and you can cancel from the app at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of Florida and the United States. Disputes are resolved individually, through arbitration or small claims court.
1. Who we are and acceptance of these terms
MBook Time is a service operated by MBook Time ("we," "us"), based in the State of Florida, United States. These terms govern your use of the website https://mbooktime.com, the MBook Time apps for iPhone and Android, and any related services (together, the "Platform").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Platform.
2. What MBook Time is
MBook Time lets clients find independent professionals and businesses (barbershops, salons, and similar), see their services and prices, book appointments, pay online, and leave reviews. It gives professionals and businesses a calendar, client management, payments, and tools to grow.
MBook Time does not provide barbering, cosmetology, nail, lash, or any other personal care services, and it is not the employer or agent of any professional. Each professional or business is solely responsible for the services it provides, their quality and safety, its prices, and complying with the law. Any claim about a service must be directed to whoever provided it.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these terms.
The information you give us (name, email, phone, business details) must be true and kept up to date.
Your account is personal. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone accessed it without permission.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. Section 11 explains what happens then.
4. Bookings and payments for clients
When you book, you choose the service, day, and time, and one of the payment options the professional or business offers:
Pay at the location: you pay the professional or business directly on the day of the appointment.
Pay online: you pay the full service when you book.
Deposit: you pay a percentage of the price online to secure the appointment and the rest at the location.
Online payments are processed by Stripe. MBook Time never sees or stores your full card details. If an online payment isn't completed within 30 minutes, the booking is cancelled automatically and the time slot is released.
Cancellations and changes: you can cancel or reschedule from the app up to the minimum notice shown when you book (currently 2 hours before the appointment). If you cancel an appointment paid in full online, we refund the payment. If you paid a deposit and cancel or don't show up, the deposit isn't refunded, because the professional held that time for you; if you reschedule instead of cancelling, the deposit moves to the new appointment. If the professional or business cancels, you get back everything you paid. Refunds go back to the original payment method within the time your bank takes.
Tips: tips are optional and go entirely to the professional or business; MBook Time keeps no part of them.
Prices, duration, and descriptions of each service are published by the professional or business. If you're asked to pay a different price from the one you accepted when booking, you can let us know.
5. Professionals and businesses
If you offer services through MBook Time, in addition to the above you agree that:
You work on your own account as an independent professional or business. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship with MBook Time.
You hold and keep current all licenses, permits, and registrations the law requires for your work, including licenses from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) for barbering (Chapter 476, Florida Statutes) and cosmetology and specialties (Chapter 477), and you follow applicable health, safety, and sanitation rules.
You publish accurate information about yourself, your business, services, prices, hours, and location, and you honor the bookings you accept.
If you run a business with a team, you're responsible for the professionals you add and the information you publish about them.
You respect your clients' privacy: you use their information only to serve their appointments and don't sell it or use it for other purposes.
Online payments: to accept online payments you must connect a Stripe account and agree to the Stripe Services Agreement and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. For each online payment, MBook Time keeps a fee from the service portion (currently 2.9% plus $0.30), which covers payment processing; tips carry no fee. Stripe pays out the rest to your account on its payout schedule.
Licenses and responsibility: MBook Time doesn't request or verify licenses. If you offer or charge for services without the license the law requires, you do so at your sole responsibility: you're answerable to your clients, to the authorities (including the Florida DBPR), and to MBook Time for any claim, fine, penalty, or damage that results, and you agree to indemnify MBook Time for it. If we learn that you offer services without a required license, we may suspend your profile.
Charging, invoicing, and taxes: you alone are responsible for lawfully charging and invoicing for your services, reporting your income, and paying your taxes. Stripe may issue tax forms required by law (for example, Form 1099-K).
6. PRO membership and Sponsored plan (automatic renewal)
Professionals and businesses can subscribe to the MBook Time PRO membership and the Sponsored plan. Before you pay, you'll always see the price, how often you'll be charged, and these terms:
Current price: $9.99 per month each, plus any applicable taxes.
The PRO membership may include a free trial (currently 60 days). When the trial ends, nothing is charged unless you activate the membership yourself.
Automatic renewal: once activated, the subscription renews automatically every month and is charged to the same payment method until you cancel.
Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from the app (Profile → Membership or Sponsored) or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and you keep access until then. There are no refunds for partial periods unless the law requires them.
If we change the price, we'll notify you at least 30 days in advance and you can cancel before it applies.
Sponsored is advertising: sponsored profiles are featured on the home screen and in search and always carry a "Sponsored" label. To appear as sponsored, a profile must be complete and, if it already has reviews, keep a minimum rating. Sponsored doesn't guarantee any number of views or bookings.
7. Reviews
Reviews help other clients decide. Only someone who had an appointment can leave a review, and each client has one review per professional and one per business, which they can edit.
Reviews must reflect real experiences. Fake reviews are prohibited, as are reviews written in exchange for money, discounts, or other benefits, and reviews written by the professional, their team, or their family.
Professionals and businesses may not ask only for positive reviews, offer anything in exchange for a review, or pressure anyone to change or remove one.
We never penalize anyone for leaving an honest review, even a negative one. We may remove reviews that break these terms or the law (for example, insults, other people's personal information, or content unrelated to the service).
8. Your content
You own what you upload (profile photos, photos of your work, descriptions, and reviews). You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, display, adapt to the Platform's format, and use it to operate and promote the Platform while it remains published.
Only upload content you have the rights to. If a photo shows another person, you must have their permission to publish it.
Copyright: if you believe something published on MBook Time infringes your copyright, send a notice to supportmbooktime@gmail.com with the information required by the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512): your signature, the copyrighted work, where the content is, your contact details, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate. We'll remove content as appropriate and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
9. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Platform to:
Impersonate another person or business, or publish false or misleading information.
Make fake bookings, hold time slots with no intention of showing up, or arrange payments outside the Platform in bad faith to get around its rules.
Harass, discriminate against, threaten, or spam other people.
Publish illegal, sexual, violent, or hateful content, or content that infringes others' rights.
Copy, scrape, alter, overload, or try to access the Platform or other accounts without permission.
Offer services you aren't licensed to provide or that the law prohibits.
10. Our role and changes to the Platform
We work to keep the Platform running well, but it may have interruptions, errors, or changes. We may improve, change, or remove features. If we remove something you pay for, we'll let you know and won't charge you for what you no longer receive.
We may review profiles, reviews, and content to protect users, but we don't verify or guarantee the identity, licenses, or quality of work of any professional or business.
11. Suspension and account deletion
We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if these terms or the law are broken, if there's a risk to other users, or if the law requires it. When possible, we'll let you know and explain why.
If you delete your account, your future appointments are cancelled under the rules in Section 4, your membership and sponsorship are cancelled immediately, and the information that identifies you is deleted. Past appointments, payments, and reviews are kept without your name, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Platform will always be available or error-free, or the outcome of any service provided by professionals or businesses.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, MBook Time is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, for lost profits, data, or business opportunities, or for damages caused by services provided by professionals or businesses.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Platform won't exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us directly (fees and subscriptions) in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
14. Indemnification
If you break these terms or the law, or if a service you provide causes harm, you agree to defend and hold MBook Time harmless from third-party claims arising from it, including reasonable attorneys' fees.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Let's talk first: before starting any claim, write to us at supportmbooktime@gmail.com describing the problem. Both sides will try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days.
Individual arbitration: if it isn't resolved, any dispute related to these terms or the Platform will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, pursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act. The arbitration may be held by phone, video, or in writing. If your claim is $10,000 or less, we'll pay your share of the AAA fees unless the arbitrator finds the claim frivolous.
Exceptions: either side may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies, and either side may ask a court to stop the misuse of its intellectual property.
No class actions: disputes are resolved only on an individual basis. You waive the right to take part in class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions.
You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by writing to supportmbooktime@gmail.com within 30 days of creating your account, with your name and your account email. In that case, or if arbitration doesn't apply, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and both sides consent to that jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll notify you in the app or by email before it applies and ask you to accept it. Changes don't affect disputes that had already started. If you don't agree with the new version, you can stop using the Platform and delete your account.
17. General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and MBook Time about the Platform. If any part is found invalid, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term doesn't mean we waive it. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our permission; we may transfer them in a reorganization, merger, or sale of the service.
These terms are available in Spanish and English. If the two versions differ, the English version controls.
18. Contact
Write to us at supportmbooktime@gmail.com. We usually reply within a few business days.
