MBook Time
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
The short version
- We use your information so you can book, get paid, and manage appointments. Nothing else.
- We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
- Payments are processed by Stripe: we never see your full card.
- You can view, correct, and delete your information. To delete your account: Profile → Delete account.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This policy explains how MBook Time ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects the personal information of people who use the website https://mbooktime.com and the MBook Time apps (the "Platform"). We are responsible for that information.
If you're a professional or business, you also receive your clients' information through the Platform. You must handle it lawfully and only to serve their appointments.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Account: name, email, phone (optional), password (stored hashed, never in readable form), language, and profile photo.
- Professionals and businesses: business name, specialty, services, prices, hours, business address, photos of work, description, and team.
- Location: the city, ZIP code, or address you choose, and your device location if you give permission (see Section 5).
- Reviews: the rating, text, tags, and photos you publish.
- Communications: what you write to us when you ask for help.
Information generated when you use the Platform:
- Appointments: service, professional, date, time, status, and payment method.
- Activity: profiles you view, favorites, and searches, to recommend professionals that suit you.
- Technical and security data: IP address, device and browser type, and sign-in attempts, to protect accounts and prevent abuse.
Information we receive from third parties:
- Stripe tells us whether a payment was completed, refunded, or failed, and the status and last four digits of professionals' payout accounts. We never receive your full card number.
- Google Maps Platform converts addresses into coordinates to show distances.
3. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and sign you in.
- To show professionals and businesses, manage bookings, changes, and cancellations, and process payments, refunds, tips, and subscriptions.
- To send you confirmations, appointment reminders, and account notices.
- To recommend professionals and sort results by distance and your preferences.
- To publish reviews and calculate each profile's rating.
- To send you reminders to book again, unless you've unsubscribed.
- To protect the Platform by preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- To answer your questions, improve the Platform, and comply with the law.
5. Your location
We use location to show what's near you and sort results. Device location is used only if you grant permission in your system settings, and you can turn it off at any time in your phone or browser settings. You can also type your city or ZIP code instead. We don't track your location in the background and we don't sell it.
A professional business address is public, because clients need to know where to go.
6. Emails and notifications
We send emails and notifications needed for the service: confirmations, changes, cancellations, appointment reminders, receipts, and account security. You can't opt out of these while you have an account.
Emails inviting you to book again are optional. You can stop them from Profile → Emails or with the unsubscribe link in each email, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. We don't send promotional text messages (SMS).
8. How long we keep your information
We keep your information while you have an account. If you delete it, we immediately delete your name, email, phone, photo, location, favorites, notifications and, if you're a professional or business, your photos of work.
We keep, without information that identifies you, the appointment, payment, and refund records we need for tax, accounting, and dispute purposes (usually up to 7 years), and reviews, which are then shown as from a deleted account. Security logs are kept as long as needed to protect the Platform. Backups are replaced periodically.
9. Security
We protect your information with reasonable measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords stored with one-way hashing, restricted access to data, sign-in attempt limits, and signing out other sessions when you change your password or email. No system is perfect, so please use a unique password.
If unauthorized access to personal information affects you, we'll notify you as soon as possible and in any case within the time required by the Florida Information Protection Act (Section 501.171, Florida Statutes): no more than 30 days.
10. Your rights and choices
Whatever state you live in, you can:
- View and correct your information from your profile.
- Delete your account and your information from Profile → Delete account.
- Request a copy of your information or ask anything else by writing to supportmbooktime@gmail.com.
- Unsubscribe from optional emails and turn off location permission.
We'll respond within 45 days. To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm your identity from your account email. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Residents of California, Florida, and other states with privacy laws: in addition to the above, you have the right to know what information we process and why (this policy explains it), to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against. We don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of.
11. Children
The Platform is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, as required by COPPA. If we learn that a minor created an account, we'll delete it. If you believe this has happened, write to us.
12. Where information is stored
MBook Time operates in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. If you use the Platform from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they apply. The date at the top shows the last update.
14. Contact
